I had a short stop over in LA on the way home from the REALStudio Conference. I hadn’t seen the skate park on Venice Beach before so I’m glad the weather had just cleared up.

2011 Atlanta REALStudio Conference
Writing this WAY after it actually happened:
The conference this year was at Atlanta. It was hosted by both the Association of REALbasic Professionals and REAL Software. Great location next to the Airport. There was a call for speakers and I was jokingly entered, and ended up speaking about Serial devices and Barcode Printing using REALbasic. There were announcements by Geoff Perlman, the CEO of REAL Software. He went through the up and coming features of REALStudio as well as the Web components. There were numerous topics that were covered, all of which were very interesting. Overall, a fantastic trip.

Before heading to the Atlanta REALStudio Conference, I had a quick trip to New York. I hadn’t been before and wasn’t looking forward to having a few days rest in LA or San Francisco again, so I thought why not New York.
Fantastic weather, although I did wake up freezing. Candy Hostel was.. not that great. I only chose it due to price. The location wasn’t too bad either. I spent a lot of time walking around town and a bit of shopping.
