So just last night, well a little while ago now, bought tickets to see the cat empire, and last night was their show. They aren’t just doing one show, but 8 in 7 days, in attempt to set a new venue record. They were here to also promote their new album - So Many Nights. It was a great night, quite a few songs from the new album, as well as a few classics. Started off with The Bamboos as the supporting band.

Was an amazing night, just wish it’d never end. Brilliant musicians.

Apart from last night, I skipped saturdays wedding, mainly because I’ve just got too much work going on. Ended up spending saturday at work, working on my project - fixing bugs since we had to have a release on tuesday. Sunday was spent on my assignment, well its a group assignment. Basically to just create a multi-tiered application of the one we had already built. Just spent the day creating this middle business tier and delegated the rest to my group, which hopefully wont leave too much work for me to do now.

A few more weddings to get through, then I’ll have my weekends back, and hopefully i’ll be able to get outside before the temperatures go nuts! not that i dont love hot days, but mountain biking in those kind of temperatures is a bit insane.

Can only honestly say, todays wedding has just been amazing and relaxed, just how weddings should be. So these two tell me they read my blog, and good on them! They know more about me than I know about them! Mountain bikers and Cat Empire fans, thats all i know! So today, started with the bride at her place, with the prep. Then it moved onto the ceremony at Lane Cove National Park. Few quick formals were taken after the ceremony and the rest were done at the reception, Eden Gardens. Never realised that Eden Gardens did receptions - BBQ style, which was a great tasting dinner.

So since you guys will wake up and check these out, I’d better put them up now:

The lovely dress - only to realise later that its not her bouquet there…:

Nice details:

So the house was a bit tight on space… and who better to do the ironing than the mother.

That just leaves the father of the bride to his own thing.

The bridesmaids:

The couple:

And again, their love for the great outdoors lead them to have the ceremony with the elements.

Highlight of the evening was a performance from a Fijian group. It had so much energy to it, you had your eyes peeled.

So a great night, great day. Just a wonderful wedding and very glad to have been a part of it.

So with this week, project, project, project. Its first release to the end-users was Friday. And yes, it was complete. Of course, its now stage 1 of testing from the users, and that was release 1. There will be many more releases to come. I’ve got quite a few busy weeks ahead, since this whole application, will go live to the users in late October, and the final application will be released in May sometime next year. So busy times ahead.

Received my second assignment for VB.NET as well. It consists of an ASP implementation of the system we had already built. This time, its in groups, and I’ll most probably be starting to do it .. today.

Something to look forward to is the Cat Empire concert, on the 16th of October. So cant wait for that, and I guess a couple weeks after that, before all the really hot weather sets in, might go on a couple mountain biking trips. We shall see how everything pans out.

So the pressure was on today… Was dropped off at the grooms place to shoot on my own whilst Vince travelled to the girls place to get the prep. I would have to say I did alright. Rode in the stretch Ford… to the church - Garrison Church. Formals were then taken at the Rocks and the Botanical Gardens as well as a few at Wildfire - great chicken… Reception was at L’Aqua - nice food… was placed outside though.. lucky it wasnt raining. Then came the night shots.. which didnt end up taking very long at all since it was freezing! Here are a few pics:

A moment with his father before the church:

Was thinking about this shot on the way to the grooms place:

The day was just beautiful:

Just a bit of fun:

Terrific wedding. Lots of fun. Great couple.

Yesterday… had another wedding… well only half of one… No pics to show for it, but vince does - www.vlblog.net . Start off kinda tired with the lack of sleep. Then didnt go too well when I was standing in the aisle - not blocking anyone - getting ready for the kiss… one of the … three stooges - oh these stooges annoy me… Anyway, they walk right in the middle of the aisle. Wouldve been at most 8 metres away from the bride and groom and stands there during the whole kiss. Great news for me… i got a shot of his back and, from memory, just enough of the bride and grooms head to show that they were even kissing.

So anyway, the reason for the short stay was because I had my assignment due last night. Of course it got done. Why last minute? Well it wasnt to begin with. It was originally due on Wednesday night, but everyone complained that they werent able to get it done on time, so the lecturer extended it to sunday. I had it all completed - well the requirements of it - done on wednesday. Seems just a bit unfair that everyone was able to now catch up to me. I didnt have any time in the past 5 days to work on it since my project is nearing… the deadline. I’ve been at work all day - working on it.. and its nearly there!

So, its going to be one long week or few weeks, until the project settles down, before it starts building again…
